Throughout Copeland's history, our ancestors have always manage their assets to expand available resources. In 1914, as they got older, they passed on a small existing institution and the fleet of three fishing ships to the next generation. Such legacy, mostly not in the form of currency, laid the foundation for Copeland's sustainability. As a tribute, the small business was named after the founder himself, William Copeland.
In the year 1963, the next Copeland was supposed to take over the business, which had increased size with time. The issue was Robert had no passion for fishing. However, he was willing to contribute to the music industry, which led him to leave Islesbury. The following year, our family witnessed a vibrant young adult visit the business as a counselor brought to town for sightseeing's purpose. Jorge, with a brilliant marketing mindset, was later on adopted. He became a Copeland himself. Everyone saw Jorge as a young William hungry for the business world.
After a short period on the corporation, Jorge proposed several policies to be added to the business. His marketing procedures eventually promoted industrial diversification and consolidated our status, making Copeland Fish outstanding among competitors in the state of Beltroy. As a new measure from our family, the adoption also expanded our diversity, having more potential descendants in the future. Nevertheless, Copeland still maintains its sustainability by having a family business with an additional focus on marketing the wonders of our town. Today, we have more than 20 fleets.
